First 10 Days!

10 days of being married!
These last 10 days have been wonderful. Our place is almost in order now. When we got back from the honeymoon there was this small mattress of a bed so after one night on it we bought a new one.

We've also gone through a few forms of sofas. Our first was just a quilt and some pillows we took off of a sofa sitting on the side of the road with a cardboard sign that said "FREE" on it. We took the pillows, left the sofa. The second sofa has boxes underneath the quilt. REALLY uncomfortable to sit on but we're desperate!

Nate bought me a beautiful desk from D.I. for $30 dollars. I love it so much! Right now it doubles as our dining table :)

Though we may not have a lot of furniture, we were still not forgotten by our friends and family. :) The gifts we received from bridal showers and the reception covered our entire office floor. We couldn't walk more than two steps into the room.

One of the gifts we received was a beautiful pizza stone. Nate and I made homemade Chicken Alfredo Pizza. And I really mean home-made! We made the crust from scratch, the Alfredo from scratch, we even gr-chopped the peppers! It was DELICIOUS!

Well other than that and finding a spider in the shower (I love having a man that will run in and rescue me as I scream backing against the wall, knocking over every shampoo/conditioner bottle in the room) there isn't much more to share about the first ten days :) I love being a wife and making our house a home and I look forward to sharing more cute stories about our "newlywed" experiences.

Awww! I'm so glad things are going so nice. At least you guys aren't on the side of the road living like total hobos!

The Story...

Nate and Joslyn met in September of 2011 on a mudding trip. Two of Nate's high school friends asked two of Joslyn's roommates to go mudding then later his friends asked him and her friends asked her neither knowing the other would be there, and both thinking they'd be the fifth wheel.
When Joslyn first saw Nate she was so relieved to have someone to ride with that she didn't care that she had never met him, she just ran to his car and called dibs. Nate found Joslyn to be cute, weird... but cute. Joslyn found Nate to be a bit of a punk, fun... but a punk. And so their friendship was born. Soon they're circle of friends became inseparable. However, Joslyn found Nate to be rather annoying after he told her that her joke wasn't funny. She refused to sit by him and didn't like him coming over all the time. Later she discovered that it wasn't him that said it, so she cut him some slack.

Joslyn invited Nate to attend an institute choir class. He gave in and went because she was cute. They're friendship continued to develop when the choir director mentioned auditions for a duet. Joslyn thought through the class and decided Nate was the best candidate so she wrote him a note asking him to duet with her. Again he complied because of her cuteness.

Joslyn being the flirt she was used her wiles and mentioned how badly she wanted a pumpkin pie for her upcoming birthday. Nate being such a romantic took on the task of making two pies, one he delivered to her, the other he shared with his roommates.

A few days later, on 11-11-11 he asked her out to h0t chocolate, from seven-eleven. Needless to say the date went well because the next night he kissed her, and she kissed him back.
One June 16, 2012 they were sealed in the Draper Temple for time and all eternity.

He works I.T. at Deseret Mutual Benefit Administrators, and she studies Interior Design at LDS Business College and is a devoted homemaker (Computers and Aprons).
This is our life.
